About the Program

SLAM is a project-based resiliency program that combines literature, art, and media to empower students to express themselves through poetry. The program encourages students to explore universal themes and build a community based on shared experiences. SLAM teaches students to create and perform their poems, and compete in local and national competitions. The program also counts for English credits towards graduation.
