Miguel-Angel Soria

Biography

Miguel-Angel has over 25 years of experience in education, non-profit, and private sector roles. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of San Diego and a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Counseling from San Diego State University. Throughout his career, he has served in various educational roles including teaching all k-12 grades, charter school librarian, principal, CTE Specialist, and Director of CTE.

Miguel-Angel is an accomplished content developer, having been an Emmy NATAS/PSW nominated producer and artistic director of a performance art group featured on both HBO and PBS. He has also produced and edited award-winning documentaries, including Chaldean Voices which aired on PBS. He has been involved in developing content for TREC since its early stages and continues to innovate on all aspects of content development, with a focus on creating positive community change.

Personal Statement

Hello, I'm Miguel-Angel. As a content creator and educator, my focus is on developing projects, products, and services that make a positive and impactful change in our community. I've had the privilege of teaching students at every grade level, from K-12, and I've also held various educational leadership roles. Along with my experience in education, I also have a background in the performing arts and have worked in both the non-profit and private sectors.

I love the opportunity to draw from my diverse experiences to create engaging, healing, and educational content just for you! Even though I usually dress in workplace casual attire like slacks and polos, when working with me you'll quickly know that I still consider myself a punk rock and jazz-influenced community-based artist. I'm excited to work with you and use my skills and experiences to create content that positively impacts our community.
