Biography

Priscilla Cortez is a proud San Diegan with a deep-rooted passion for education and community empowerment. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a specialization in Human Development from San Diego State University, followed by a Master’s Degree, Teaching Credentials, and a CLAD (Cross-cultural, Language, and Academic Development) Certificate.

Currently serving as a Community Programs Manager at Learn4Life High Schools, Priscilla is dedicated to supporting youth aged 14-24 to achieve their high school diplomas and prepare for future success. Before this role, she was a high school teacher and Internship Coordinator, where she focused on providing 21st-century work-based learning opportunities to equip students with real-world skills.

Priscilla actively collaborates with key players across various sectors and is passionate about fostering strong, resilient communities. She believes empowering individuals with the right resources and support enables them to build meaningful connections and take pride in their communities. A dedicated humanitarian, Priscilla serves on multiple committees and is a past president and active member of the Rotary Club, where she continues to uphold the values of service and leadership.

Priscilla is honored to join the Trauma Resilient Educational Communities (TREC) National Advisory Board, where she looks forward to contributing to its transformative mission. She is excited to be part of a program that prioritizes healing, resilience, and the well-being of students and educators.
