Personal Statement
Hi, I'm Doug!
As the son of a housekeeper growing up in a home of violence, being able to talk and process my childhood trauma is something that helps me to heal through the life circumstances I grew up with. TREC is important to me because it provides a safe space, support, and opportunity for professionals and organizations to become certified in building trauma-resilient educational communities. These communities provide hope, healing, and restoration to those who need it most.
